A little over 4 years ago, I lost my best friend. (I didn’t misplace him. He passed away.) He was one of those guys that everyone loved and you could spend an entire night sitting around telling “Remember that time . . .” stories about him.
When I started blogging, I told some of those stories. Then so many people were weighing in with their stories that I created a whole page for people to comment on.
Here’s a link to the page I set up. If you read nothing else, read the comments.
If you have additional time, read about my trip out West with Ricky. It was a wild and wonderful 2 weeks.

I cannot imagine losing my best friend. It would devastate my world. What an honoring thing you have done for Ricky. I am sure that his family and friends appreciate having a space to remember him and his paper mill farts.

Part of allowing people to post whatever they wanted was to get back at Ricky for all the stuff he pulled on us. He was one of a kind.
What a wonderful tribute! Reading some of the comments damn near made me teary eyed. Everybody should have a Ricky in their lives.
If you read the stories about my trip out West with Ricky, know that I was just kidding about Kansas. It’s really a lovely place filled with great people.
I am so sorry, I know how important he was to you.
I appreciate it, and glad to have you commenting on the blog. Please don’t be a stranger. There’s always room for another witty woman.
